The till
Scan or search, cash and change, split a payment across cash, MoMo and card. Returns and exchanges. Open a shift, count the drawer at close, see the variance.
Built in Accra, for how shops here actually trade
Point of sale, stock and reports in one system. When the light goes off or the network drops, your till keeps selling — and every sale is still there when it comes back.
No card needed. Set up your first product in ten minutes.
What you see every morning
Sales, profit and what’s running out — worked out from your real costs, not a guess. Open it on your phone from home and see what every till took today, shop by shop. Every figure below comes off the dashboard you get on day one.
Example figures, shown to illustrate the dashboard layout — not a real shop’s takings.
The part that matters here
Most shop software is a website: no internet, no sale, and you are back to a notebook you will have to type in later. Folaks runs the till on the device itself. You keep serving the queue, and nothing is lost.
We test this the hard way before you ever see it: ninety-nine sales taken offline, then the whole queue replayed twice over. Zero lost, zero duplicated.
And offline does not mean in the dark. The old kind of shop software ran on one computer in the shop, so when you weren’t there, you couldn’t see a thing. Folaks syncs as soon as there is network, so you can open today’s takings from your phone at home while the till carries on without you. You don’t trade the sale for the view, or the view for the sale.
Tax, done properly
A receipt that shows one lump of “tax” is not a VAT invoice. Folaks works out each levy the way the standard regime requires — levies on the base, VAT on top of base plus levies — and prints them separately, with your TIN on the header.
Receipt numbers run in one unbroken sequence per till, so nothing can quietly go missing, and a reprint says it is a reprint.
Thank you! Medaase!
What you get
Scan or search, cash and change, split a payment across cash, MoMo and card. Returns and exchanges. Open a shift, count the drawer at close, see the variance.
Levels per shop, transfers between them, and a full movement history — every change has a reason and a name against it. Stocktakes post the variance properly instead of overwriting your numbers.
Cost is tracked as a weighted average as you receive goods, and stamped onto each sale. So profit is what you actually made, and it stays correct even after you change a price.
Print to a thermal printer if you have one. If you don’t, text the customer a link to their receipt — they open it on their phone, no app.
Cashiers sign in with a PIN at the till. Voids, refunds and price changes need a manager. Every one is recorded against whoever did it.
Import your products from a spreadsheet, export them back out, print barcode labels for the shelf. More than one shop? Run them all from one login.
